...Jorge Miyagui is a Peruvian URB artist and activist whose provocative paintings and installations have caused various scandals. He will share with us his experiences of arts, politics, community work and censorship. Professor Teivo Teivainen will also comment on the transformative implications of Miyagui's art.
The meeting will be at 2 pm on Thursday, August 2, at Kiasma Museum. It forms part of the URB Festival of Kiasma and is organized in collaboration with the University of Helsinki.
You can also visit Miyagui´s exhinbition at Stoa Gallery until August 4.
